On Saturday, Crescent was within striking distance but couldn't close the gap as they fell 25-19 to Ocosta. Crescent has now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.
They got a good chunk of their points from the dynamic duo of
Audrey Gales and
Ciara Cargo-Acosta, who each put up five points.
Alexis Dunavant held things down on the boards with three rebounds.
Ocosta found their leader in underclassman Bristol Towle, who scored 18 points along with 5 rebounds and 3 steals. That makes it two consecutive games in which Towle has scored at least 25% of Ocosta's points.
Crescent's loss dropped their record down to 0-2. As for Ocosta, they now have a winning record of 2-1.
Crescent will head out on the road to face off against Crosspoint at 5:30 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Ocosta, they will be playing in front of their home fans against Raymond at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
