After flying high against the Clarke Prep Gators on Friday, the Sparta Academy Warriors came back down to earth. Sparta Academy took a hard 44-30 fall against Lowndes Academy on Tuesday. The result shouldn't come as a shock considering that's the fewest points Sparta Academy has scored all season.
When it comes to explaining why Sparta Academy lost, one person who can't be blamed is Logan Robinson. Despite the final result, he scored 16 points along with five steals. Those five steals set a new season-high mark for him.
Sparta Academy has not been sharp recently, as they've lost five of their last six contests, which put a noticeable dent in their 5-10 record this season. As for Lowndes Academy, the victory was the sixth in a row for them, bringing their record for this year to 8-3.
Sparta Academy's road trip will continue as they head out to face Patrician Academy at 7:00 p.m. on January 5th. Lowndes Academy will have some time to savor their win since their next game is a little ways off: they'll take on Hooper Academy at 7:00 p.m. on January 16th.
