Boulder Creek Gets a Boost from Stano in 35-14 Victory

Starting off the list is Boulder Creek's Everett Stano, who we judged to be the best player in the league this week. Stano threw for 268 yards and three touchdowns, and also rushed for 44 yards and a touchdown.

Boulder Creek's victory ended a four-game drought on the road dating back to last season and puts them at 2-5. Stano and Boulder Creek will welcome Valley Vista at 7:00 p.m. on Friday.

Marcus Johnson Delivers Best Performance of Season

O'Connor came up short on Thursday despite Marcus Johnson delivering his best game to date. Johnson picked up a sack and made 11 total tackles in addition to snagging an interception.

O'Connor's loss dropped their record down to 2-5. Johnson and O'Connor have the luxury of staying home for another week and will welcome Pinnacle at 7:00 p.m. on Friday.

Colton Wiggins Turns in Another Game with at Least Ten Total Tackles

Sadly, Colton Wiggins posting his best game of the season wasn't enough to lead O'Connor over Boulder Creek on Thursday. Wiggins wasn't messing around, making ten total tackles (2.0 for loss) and defending a pass in addition to snagging an interception. The matchup was his seventh straight with ten or more total tackles.

For the year, Wiggins has averaged 11 total tackles per game. He's made a big improvement compared to last season: at this point last year, he was only averaging 1.57 total tackles per game.

Jaahad Parris Turns in Season-Best Effort

On Friday, Valley Vista had to settle for second even though Jaahad Parris put up the best numbers he has all season. Parris rushed for 58 yards and two touchdowns.

Valley Vista's defeat was their fourth straight on the road dating back to last season, which dropped their record down to 1-6. Parris and Valley Vista will venture away from home to challenge Boulder Creek at 7:00 p.m. on Friday.
