Panther Creek is a perfect 10-0 against Green Hope since April of 2019 and they'll have a chance to extend that dominance on Thursday. The Panther Creek Catamounts are taking a road trip to square off against the Green Hope Falcons at 4:00 p.m. One thing working in Panther Creek's favor is that they have posted at least ten runs in their last four contests.
Panther Creek is headed in fresh off scoring the most runs they have all season. They were the clear victor by a 21-1 margin over East Chapel Hill on Wednesday. The team's explosion at the plate also rewarded the Catamounts with their most commanding win of the season.
Jessica Burk made a big impact while hitting and pitching. On the mound, she pitched three innings while giving up just one earned run off three hits. She has been consistent recently: she hasn't tossed less than five strikeouts in four consecutive appearances. She was even better at the plate, scoring three runs and stealing Three bases. while going 3-for-4.

In other batting news, Meghan Dracup and Cassidy Robinson did most of the damage at the plate: Dracup went a perfect 3-for-3 with three runs, four RBI, and two doubles, while Robinson went 3-for-4 with five RBI, two runs, and one triple. Those three runs gave Dracup a new career-high. Tseehiyona Kyeskat was another key player, scoring three runs.
Meanwhile, Green Hope was not able to break out of their rough patch on Wednesday as the team picked up their third straight defeat. They took a 17-13 hit to the loss column at the hands of Franklinton.
Sophia Cerneka was cooking despite her team's loss, going 3-for-5 with four RBI, two runs, and one triple. Another player making a difference was Josselyn DeSantis, who scored two runs and stole a base while going 3-for-5.
Panther Creek has been performing well recently as they've won three of their last four games. That's provided a nice bump to their 4-2 record this season. The wins came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 14.3 runs over those games. Green Hope's loss dropped their record down to 4-6.
Everything went Panther Creek's way against Green Hope in their previous meeting back in April of 2024, as Panther Creek made off with an 18-0 victory. Does Panther Creek have another victory up their sleeve, or will Green Hope turn the tables on them? We'll have the answer soon enough.
