After a string of three wins, the North Warren Central Cougars's good fortune finally ran out on Wednesday. The New Year welcomed they with a 51-21 whooping from Bolton Central. North Warren Central lost against Bolton Central in their previous head to head back in December of 2022, too, but the margin this time around was much wider than the 53-32 score last time.
Bolton Central's win was the result of several impressive offensive performances. One of the most notable came from Jadynn Egloff, who scored 16 points. The match was Egloff's sixth in a row with at least ten points. Maille Kelley was another key contributor, scoring 12 points.
North Warren Central bumped their record down to 3-5 with that defeat, which was their eighth straight on the road dating back to last season. Those losses could be blamed on the team's offensive performance across that stretch, as they only averaged 24.4 points per game. As for Bolton Central, the win for they keeps them at an undefeated 7-0.
Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. North Warren Central will take on Hadley Luzerne at 6:00 p.m. on Wednesday. As for Bolton Central, they will head out on the road to face off against Schroon Lake at 6:30 p.m. on Friday. Schroon Lake will have to bring their A-game into this one, as they are staring down a pretty big deficit in the MaxPreps New York Rankings (they are ranked 494th, while Bolton Central is ranked 245th).
