Basketball Recap: Springville Picks Up Third Consecutive Victory

Springville won the last time they faced West and Jamyn Sondrup did his part to make sure it happened again. The Red Devils were the clear victors by a 73-52 margin over the Panthers on Wednesday thanks in part to Sondrup, who dropped a double-double with 27 points and 19 boards. The matchup was his sixth in a row with at least 15 points.

Sam Nadauld was another key player, putting up three points and eight assists. He is also on a roll when it comes to three-point shooting accuracy, as he's posted one of at least 50% in the last three games he's played.

Despite the loss, West still got an impressive performance from Elijah Albertson, who shot 47% from the field to rack up 26 points. Thanks to that strong game, Albertson now owns an excellent 40.6% three-point shooting accuracy. Another player making a difference was Bobby Mohamed, who posted six points.

The win was the third in a row for Springville, bringing their record up to 4-1. Those victories came thanks in part to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 80.7 points over those games. As for West, they are on a three-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 1-4.

Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Springville will welcome Fremont at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. The Red Devils will be up against the Silverwolves' rather soft defense (which has allowed 66.14 points per game), so fans could be in store for a big offensive performance. As for West, they will be playing in front of their home fans against Northridge at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. The Panthers will need to watch out since the Knights have now posted at least 55 points in their last four contests.
