The Bothell Cougars pushed their score all the way to 59 on Tuesday, but even that wasn't enough to win. They fell 69-59 to Skyline. Despite running the score up even higher than they did in their last game last Monday (56), Bothell still had to take the loss.
Bothell's loss came despite a true team effort from the offense, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Jarell Fermon, who scored 18 points along with five assists and three steals. The team also got some help courtesy of Tyson Hoke, who scored 12 points.
Bothell has not been sharp recently, as they've lost three of their last four contests, which put a noticeable dent in their 5-12 record this season. As for Skyline, the win (which was their third in a row) raised their record to 12-5.
Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Bothell will take on Woodinville at 8:00 p.m. on Friday. Woodinville is looking to tack on another W to their six-game streak on the road. As for Skyline, they will look to defend their home court on Friday against Mount Si at 8:15 p.m. Mount Si knows how to get points on the board -- the team has finished with flashy point totals in its past nine contests -- so hopefully Skyline likes a good challenge.
