Brunswick (Greenwich, Conn.) took an early lead against Trinity-Pawling (Pawling, N.Y.) and held on for a 44-14 victory on Saturday.
In the first quarter, the Bruins put up 13 points. Brunswick scored on a
Billy O'Malley touchdown run and a touchdown run by O'Malley.
After taking the lead on a O'Malley touchdown run in the first quarter, BHS led 27-7 at the half.
The Greenwich school expanded its lead to 37 points entering the fourth quarter. The Bruins scored three times in the third, including once on a
JD Donahey touchdown run.
The victory avenged Brunswick's close 38-36 loss to the Pride last season.
The loss comes after Trinity-Pawling defeated Taft 61-47 last week. The win brought Brunswick's winning streak to three games.
Brunswick (3-1) will play a Housatonic game against Salisbury School next week, while Trinity-Pawling (1-3) will take on Hotchkiss also in a Housatonic game.
