The Wasco Tigers will look to defend their home field on Friday against the Taft Wildcats at 7:30 p.m. Both teams come into the game bolstered by wins in their previous matches.
Wasco fell on hard times earlier this season, but after back-to-back victories it seems like their luck might finally be changing. They were the clear victor by a 27-7 margin over Delano.
Meanwhile, Taft was able to grind out a solid win over Chavez on Friday, taking the game 34-25.
Cameron Cash was on fire: he rushed for 165 yards and two touchdowns while picking up 7.5 yards per carry, and also threw for 57 yards and a touchdown while completing 100% of his passes. The team also got some help courtesy of Blaine Neudorf, who rushed for 81 yards and a touchdown.
Wasco's victory on Friday also bumped their record up to 4-4. As for Taft, their win ended a three-game drought at home and bumped them up to 4-4.
Wasco came up short against Taft when the teams last played back in October of 2022, falling 31-20. Will Wasco have more luck at home instead of on the road?
