After three games on the road, Deerfield is heading back home. They will take on the Granada Bobcats at TBD on Monday. Hopefully Deerfield focused on turnovers this week since the team gave up 13 on Friday.
On Friday, Deerfield was able to grind out a solid victory over Greeley County, taking the game 51-44.
Deerfield's victory was a true team effort, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Colten Musil, who scored 17 points along with five rebounds. Musil is on a roll when it comes to points, as he's now scored 15 or more in the last six games he's played. Cristian Botello was another key contributor, almost dropping a double-double on nine points and 11 rebounds.
Meanwhile, Granada pushed their score all the way to 59 on Thursday, but even that wasn't enough to win. They fell just short of Kim/Branson by a score of 62-59. Despite running the score up even higher than they did in their prior game on Saturday (56), Granada still had to take the loss.
Deerfield is on a roll lately: they've won three of their last four matchups, which provided a massive bump to their 8-9 record this season. As for Granada, their loss was their seventh straight on the road, which dropped their record down to 5-10.
