Monmouth Academy strolled into their game on Friday with a perfect record and they left with the same. They put the hurt on the Hall-Dale Bulldogs with a sharp 21-6 victory. The matchup marked the Mustangs' most dominant win of the season so far.
Evelyn Pettengill made a big impact while hitting and pitching. She looked comfortable on the mound, pitching five innings while giving up four earned (and two unearned) runs off five hits. Pettengill was also stellar in the batter's box, getting on base in four of her five plate appearances with three runs and two RBI.
In other batting news, Monmouth Academy got a massive performance out of Riley Smith, who got on base in four of her five plate appearances with five RBI, two runs, and one triple.
