For Hillsboro's part, Camryn Spruell made a big impact no matter where she played. Hillsboro was getting hits left and right and finished the game having posted a batting average of .421. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as Chillicothe only posted a batting average of .118.
Hillsboro has been performing well recently as they've won nine of their last 11 contests. That's provided a nice bump to their 12-3 record this season. Those victories came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 9.9 runs over those games. As for Chillicothe, their loss was their first in the conference, dropping their conference record down to 6-1 and their overall record down to 12-3.
Tuesday's match might come down to which pitcher can control the ball better. Chillicothe has hit smart this season, having averaged an OBP of .434. However, it's not like Hillsboro struggles in that department as they've averaged .436. With both teams so capable at the plate, fans should be ready for an impressive hitting performance.
