Meanwhile, Victory Christian Academy waltzed into their matchup Tuesday with six straight wins but they left with seven. They secured a 49-43 W over St. Petersburg Catholic.
It was another big night for Bianca Barroso, who scored 21 points along with nine steals and six assists. That makes it four consecutive games in which she has scored at least 25% of Victory Christian Academy's points. The team also got some help courtesy of Olivia Gomez, who scored six points along with seven rebounds.
Lake Placid's win bumped their record up to 4-2. As for Victory Christian Academy, their victory was their seventh straight at home dating back to last season, which pushed their record up to 9-1.
Lake Placid didn't have too much breathing room in their matchup against Victory Christian Academy when the teams last played back in January, but they still walked away with a 32-26 victory.
