Prince RVT (Hartford, Conn.) scored 28 points in the first quarter to secure a big 46-0 victory over Wilcox RVT (Meriden, Conn.) on Saturday.
The Falcons scored on a passing touchdown, a
Rayshawn Phillips touchdown run, a rushing touchdown and a defensive touchdown in the quarter.
Prince RVT was up 40-0 at the half after taking the lead on a passing touchdown in the first quarter.
PR expanded its lead to 46 points entering the fourth quarter. The Hartford school scored once in the quarter on a touchdown run by
Rahkeem Jordan.
The the Falcons raced to 28 in the first quarter alone and never looked back.
Phillips played well for Prince RVT in the victory. The freshman quarterback threw two touchdowns and ran for one touchdown.
PR also won the meeting between the two teams last season, 40-21.
With the win the Falcons extended their winning streak to four games.
Prince RVT (4-0) goes up against Bullard-Havens in a Constitution State game matchup next week, while Wilcox RVT (1-4) locks horns with Bullard-Havens also in a Constitution State game.
