Ayden Seidl looked comfortable as he tossed 1.2 innings while giving up no earned runs or hits. He has been consistent: he hasn't given up more than two walks in five consecutive appearances.
At the plate, the team relied heavily on Dekker Thomas, who went 1-for-2 with two stolen bases and two RBI.
Meanwhile, Green County entered their tilt with Nelson County on Monday with four consecutive wins, and they'll enter their next game with five. They came within a single run of losing the streak, but they secured a 10-9 W against the Cardinals. That's two games straight that the Dragons have won by just one run.
Andrew Houk was incredible, getting on base in all four of his plate appearances with one home run, two RBI, and one double. Caleb Corbin was another key player, going a perfect 3-for-3 with one run and one RBI.
Green County was getting hits left and right and finished the game having posted a batting average of .419. They are a perfect 7-0 when they post a batting average of .375 or better.
Larue County is on a roll lately: they've won ten of their last 12 games. That's provided a nice bump to their 19-5-1 record this season. Those victories came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 1.7 runs on average over those games. As for Green County, they pushed their record up to 12-6-1 with the win, which was their fourth straight on the road.
Tuesday's match might come down to which pitcher can control the ball better. Larue County has hit smart this season, having averaged an OBP of .459.
