There's no place like home for The Mill Valley Jaguars, who bounced back after a tough loss on the road last Friday. They simply couldn't be stopped on Thursday as they easily beat Shawnee Mission East 56-13 at home. The result was nothing new for Mill Valley, who have now won five matches by 29 points or more so far this season.
Mill Valley's success was the result of a balanced attack that saw several players step up, but Connor Bohon led the charge by rushing for 162 yards and three touchdowns on only ten carries. Bohon's longest rush was for an incredible 76 yards. Tristan Baker was another key contributor, rushing for 134 yards and two touchdowns.
Mill Valley's victory bumped their record up to 6-2. As for Shawnee Mission East, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 3-5.
Mill Valley will be playing at home against West at 7:00 p.m. on October 27th. West will have to bring their A-game into this one, as they are staring down a pretty big deficit in the MaxPreps Kansas Rankings (they are ranked 173rd, while Mill Valley is ranked 17th). As for Shawnee Mission East, they will head out on the road to face off against Shawnee Mission Northwest at 7:00 p.m. on October 27th.
