Despite their loss, Lincoln Northeast saw several players rise to the challenge and make noteworthy plays. Addy Murrell, who had ten digs and two aces, was perhaps the best of all. Patricia Mozee was another key player, getting 16 assists and two aces.
Meanwhile, Lincoln North Star hadn't done well against Elkhorn South recently (they were 2-7 in their previous nine matchups), but they didn't let the past get in their way on Tuesday. The Navigators had just enough and edged out the Storm 3-2. The victory made it back-to-back wins for the Navigators.
Lincoln North Star was staring down a 2-1 deficit headed into the fourth set, but they rallied to take the next two for the win. The final score came out to 25-20, 23-25, 18-25, 25-18, 15-8.
Lincoln North Star's victory bumped their record up to 22-3. As for Lincoln Northeast, their defeat dropped their record down to 8-16.
