Baseball Recap: Queen's Grant Takes a Loss

After soaring to 13 runs the game before, Queen's Grant was a bit more limited in their contest on Thursday. They lost 12-1 to the Forest Hills Yellow Jackets. Unfortunately, that's the second time they've come up short against the Yellow Jackets this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 12-0 on March 7th.

Queen's Grant saw three different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Tyrell Byrd, who went 1-for-2 with one stolen base and one double. Byrd has been hot recently, having posted at least one stolen base the last three times he's played.

Queen's Grant's loss dropped their record down to 2-9. As for Forest Hills, the win snapped their losing streak at three games and leaves them with a 5-6 record.

Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Queen's Grant will host Piedmont Community Charter at 4:30 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Forest Hills, they will square off against West Stanly at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. West Stanly will roll in looking for their sixth straight victory, something Forest Hills surely won't give up without a fight.
