After a string of eight wins, the Higley Knights's good fortune finally ran out on Thursday. They fell 60-51 to Casteel. Higley was given a dose of their own medicine in this game as the Colts apparently hadn't forgotten their loss the last time these teams played back in January.
Several Knights players turned in solid performances despite ultimately coming up short. Perhaps the best among those players was Donovan Dabney, who scored 17 points. Another player making a difference was Brock Seiber, who scored four points along with five steals and four blocks.
Higley's loss ended a four-game streak of away wins and brought them to 16-9. As for Casteel, their victory was their sixth straight at home, which pushed their record up to 20-5.
Higley will take on the Cougars at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. Casa Grande will have to bring their A-game into this one, as they are staring down a pretty big deficit in the MaxPreps Arizona Rankings (they are ranked 180th, while the Knights are ranked 26th). As for Casteel, they will head out on the road to square off against the Coyotes at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. One thing working in Campo Verde's favor is that they have posted big point totals in their last three contests.
