The Conifer Lobos were the 62-54 winner over the Englewood Pirates when they last played one another back in January of 2023, but their luck changed this time around. Conifer took a 64-51 hit to the loss column at the hands of Englewood on Thursday.
Several Lobos players turned in solid performances, despite ultimately coming up short. Perhaps the best among those players was Issac Pratt, who dropped a double-double on 14 points and 11 rebounds. Benson White was another key contributor, scoring 13 points along with eight rebounds and two steals.
Leading Englewood to victory were Jonah Singer and Dominic Dever. Singer dropped a double-double on 16 points and ten rebounds, while Dever scored 24 points along with three steals. As a matter of fact, that's the most points Dever has scored all season. Another player making a difference was Soren Singer, who dropped a double-double on 11 rebounds and ten assists.
Conifer's loss dropped their record down to 3-6. As for Englewood, their victory bumped their record up to 2-7.
Conifer will head out on the road to challenge Green Mountain at 7:30 p.m. on Wednesday. Green Mountain knows how to get points on the board -- the team has finished with flashy point totals in its past nine matchups -- so hopefully Conifer likes a good challenge. As for Englewood, they will be playing at home against Fort Lupton at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Hopefully Fort Lupton focused on turnovers this week since the team gave up 30 on Saturday.
