The Lee Generals were the 49-39 winner over the Twin Springs Titans when they last played one another back in December of 2023, but their luck changed this time around. Lee took a 42-38 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Titans.
Kinley Huff and Cassidy Hammonds certainly did their best on Monday to avoid the loss. Huff almost dropped a double-double on 23 points and nine rebounds, while Hammonds scored 12 points along with six steals and five rebounds. That was a full 60.5% of Lee's points, marking the fifth time in a row she's earned more than a third of the team's points.
Lee has traveled a rocky road recently having lost eight of their last ten games, which put a noticeable dent in their 5-13 record this season. As for Twin Springs, the win makes it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 8-13.
Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Lee won't have much time to rest: their next matchup is against the Eagles at 6:00 p.m. on February 6th.
