MacArthur is 0-10 against Springfield since April of 2019 but things could change on Tuesday. The Generals will take on Springfield at 4:30 p.m. Both come into the matchup bolstered by wins in their previous matches.
MacArthur took a loss when they played away from home on Friday, but their home fans gave them all the motivation they needed on Monday. They came out on top against Clinton by a score of 8-1 (the very same score they lost by in their prior game).

Sean Abraham spent all seven innings on the mound, and it's clear why: he surrendered only one earned run on five hits and racked up eight Ks. He has been consistent recently: he hasn't given up more than two walks in three consecutive appearances.
At the plate, Landen Patrick and Luke Karunas did most of the damage at the plate: Patrick went 2-for-3 with two runs, one triple, and one double, while Karunas went 3-for-4 with three RBI and one double. That's the most RBI Karunas has posted since back in April of 2025. Dre'Tarius Stewart was another key player, going 1-for-2 with two runs, one triple, and one RBI.
Springfield hadn't beaten Washington on the road since May 21, 2021 but that history sure didn't bother them on Friday. Springfield came out on top against Washington by a score of 4-1.
The team relied heavily on Brody Scheffler, who went 1-for-3 with two runs, two RBI, and one double. The team also got some help courtesy of Wade Snyder, who went 2-for-3 with two RBI and one double.
MacArthur's record is now 8-13. As for Springfield, their record now sits at 11-12.
MacArthur's speedy runners might be the difference in Tuesday's game. The Generals have been swiping bases left and right this season, having averaged 2.8 stolen bases per game. It's a different story for Springfield, though, as they've been averaging only 0.1 stolen bases. Will they be able to secure the bases, or will MacArthur continue to outrun the ball?
MacArthur couldn't quite get it done against Springfield in their previous meeting back in March of 2025 as they fell 5-1. Can the Generals avenge their defeat or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
