Dubois and Meeteetse are an even 5-5 against one another since February of 2019, but not for long. The Dubois Rams will head out on the road to take on the Meeteetse Longhorns at 4:00 p.m. on Friday. The matchup should be an exciting one, as these teams are closely ranked in Wyoming (Dubois is ranked 56th, while Meeteetse is ranked 66th).
Last Saturday, Dubois took a serious blow against Burlington, falling 55-15. The result shouldn't come as a shock considering that's the fewest points Dubois has scored all season.
Meanwhile, Meeteetse came up short against Riverside on Saturday and fell 49-39. Meeteetse has not had much luck with Riverside recently, as the team's come up short the last six times they've met.
Meeteetse's defeat came about despite a quality game from Kayla Horsen, who dropped a double-double on 24 points and ten rebounds. That was a full 61.5% of Meeteetse's points, marking the 16th time in a row she's earned more than a third of the team's points.
This is the second loss in a row for Dubois and nudges their season record down to 8-9. As for Meeteetse, their loss ended a three-game streak of wins at home and dropped them to 4-14.
Dubois beat Meeteetse 42-34 in their previous meeting back in January. The rematch might be a little tougher for Dubois since the team won't have the home-court advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
