The Quantico Warriors's recent rough patch got a bit rougher on Wednesday after their third straight loss. They received a tough blow as they fell 35-19 to The Carmel School.
Despite the loss, Quantico still got an impressive performance from Olivia Barry, who scored eight points. That was a full 42.1% of Quantico's points, marking the fifth time in a row she's earned more than a third of the team's points.
Quantico's loss was their 14th straight on the road, which dropped their record down to 1-8. That rough patch could be blamed on the team's offensive performance across that stretch, as they only averaged 13.1 points per game. As for The Carmel School, their victory bumped their record up to 2-4.
Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Quantico on the road again on Tuesday and play against Wakefield School at 4:00 p.m. on January 30th. Wakefield School is currently enjoying a perfect season and no doubt want to keep things rolling. As for The Carmel School, they will head out on the road to challenge Grove Christian School at 4:30 p.m. on Friday. Grove Christian School's defense has only allowed 26.1 points per game this season, so The Carmel School's offense will have their work cut out for them.
