Campolindo has been on the road for four straight, but on Tuesday they'll finally head home. They will take on the Piedmont Highlanders at 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday. Given that the pair suffered a loss in their last game, they both have a little extra motivation heading into this contest.
Last Saturday, Campolindo suffered a rough 62-40 defeat at the hands of Monterey Trail. While losing is never fun, Campolindo can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' California basketball rankings (they are ranked 415th, while Monterey Trail is ranked 56th).
Even though the team lost, they still had their share of impressive performances. One of the most dominant came from Luke Devine, who scored 9 points along with 7 rebounds. Andy Moon was another key contributor, scoring 2 points along with 5 rebounds and 3 steals.
Meanwhile, Piedmont pushed their score all the way to 55 on Saturday, but even that wasn't enough to win. They were just a bucket shy of victory and fell 56-55 to Redwood.
Their wins bumped Campolindo to 2-2 and Monterey Trail to 4-0.
Campolindo came out on top in a nail-biter against Piedmont in their previous matchup back in December of 2022, sneaking past 59-56. Will Campolindo repeat their success, or does Piedmont have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
