With a playoff win on the line, Loveland rose to the challenge on Wednesday. Everything went their way against the Middletown Middies as they made off with a 3-0 victory. The win was familiar territory for the Tigers, who have now won four contests in a row.
Karli Krohn paced Loveland's offense, picking up 12 kills. Krohn got some help from MaKenna Kirlin and her 36 assists. Marisa Whalen controlled things from the service line, finishing with four aces.
Loveland's victory bumped their record up to 20-3. As for Middletown, they are on a six-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 4-12.
Looking ahead, Loveland will face off against Fairmont at 8:00 p.m. on Saturday. Middletown does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
