This season hasn't been kind to the Fletcher Falcons, who are still winless after their sixth match. The New Year welcomed they with a 66-17 whooping from NorthPoint Christian Academy on Thursday. Fletcher was in a tough position after the first half, with the score already sitting at 45-10.
NorthPoint Christian Academy got their win on the backs of several key players, but it was Talan Pollack out in front who scored 18 points along with eight rebounds and six steals. That's the first time this season that Pollack grabbed two or more steals. Micah Enriquez was another key contributor, scoring nine points along with 11 steals.
Fletcher's loss was their tenth straight at home dating back to last season, which bumped their record down to 0-6. As for NorthPoint Christian Academy, they are on a roll lately: they've won four of their last five matches, which provided a nice bump to their 7-5 record this season.
Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Fletcher won't have much time to rest: their next match is against Jackson Day at 7:00 p.m. on January 5th. NorthPoint Christian Academy will be staying on the road on Monday to face off against St. Anne Catholic at 6:30 p.m. on January 8th.
