Basketball Game Preview: Arbor View Aggies vs. Del Sol Dragons

The Arbor View Aggies will venture away from home to challenge the Del Sol Dragons at 6:30 p.m. on Wednesday.

Arbor View's tournament run continued when they took on Legacy on Saturday. The Aggies took a 53-44 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Longhorns. The Aggies have struggled against the Longhorns recently, as the game was their third consecutive lost matchup.

Despite the loss, Arbor View saw an underclassman step up: sophomore Zoey Bowser dropped a double-double with 14 points and 11 boards. Those 11 rebounds set a new season-high mark for Bowser. Sophia Fares also deserves some recognition as she posted her first blocks of the season.

Meanwhile, Del Sol put another one in the bag on Monday to keep their perfect season alive. They claimed a resounding 77-27 win over Desert Pines. The contest was all but wrapped up at the end of the third, by which point the Dragons had established a 44-point advantage.

Arbor View better keep an eye on Ricana Taylor. She was instrumental in Del Sol's win, putting up 22 points. Taylor's big performance that afternoon made it four games in a row in which she has scored at least 15 points. Another player making a difference was Morgan White, who posted 14 points.

Del Sol's victory bumped their record up to 6-0. As for Arbor View, their defeat dropped their record down to 2-2.

Arbor View was dealt a bruising 70-33 loss at the hands of Del Sol in their previous matchup on Friday. Can the Aggies avenge their defeat or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
