The Annapolis Christian Academy Warriors pushed their score all the way to 64 on Saturday, but even that wasn't enough to win. They fell 71-64 to Harvest Christian. Despite running the score up even higher than they did in their prior game last Tuesday (63), Annapolis Christian Academy still had to take the loss.
Annapolis Christian Academy's loss came despite a true team effort from the offense, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Jake Gwaltney, who dropped a double-double on 14 points and 11 rebounds. Gwaltney has been hot recently, having posted two or more blocks the last four times he's played. The team also got some help courtesy of Cameron Mills, who scored 17 points along with six rebounds and five assists.
Annapolis Christian Academy's loss dropped their record down to 16-9. As for Harvest Christian, the win (which was their sixth in a row) raised their record to 25-8.
Annapolis Christian Academy will head out on the road to take on Sunnybrook Christian at 3:00 p.m. on Friday. Harvest Christian does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
