Mead has won six straight games at home (dating back to last season), while Legacy has won six straight on the road, but those streaks won't matter much on Tuesday. The Mavericks will welcome the Lightning at 6:00 p.m.
Mead is probably headed into the match with a chip on their shoulder considering Holy Family just ended the team's three-match winning streak on Thursday. They fell just short of the Tigers by a score of 3-2.
Mead took a 2-1 lead headed into the fourth set, but sadly they lost the next two. Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 23-25, 25-18, 15-25, 25-22, 18-16.

| 09/23/25 vs Silver Creek | 3 |
| 09/18/25 @ Horizon | 2 |
The loss doesn't tell the whole story though, as several players had good games. One of the most active was Alana Costello, who had 18 digs and two aces. She has been hot recently, having posted two or more aces the last three times she's played. Cailin Hall was another key player, hitting 63% for 18 kills and 13 digs, five aces, and three blocks.
Meanwhile, Legacy got the win against Centaurus on Saturday by a conclusive 3-0.
The final score came out to 25-10, 25-14, 25-16.
Legacy's victory bumped their record up to 10-3. As for Mead, their loss was their first in the league, dropping their league record down to 3-1 and their overall record down to 7-3.
Mead beat Legacy 3-1 in their previous matchup back in October of 2024. Will the Mavericks repeat their success, or do the Lightning have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
