The Lebanon Tigers lost against the Danville Warriors back in March, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Friday. Lebanon took a 59-52 hit to the loss column at the hands of Danville. While losing is never fun, Lebanon can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Indiana basketball rankings (they are ranked 251st, while Danville is ranked 33rd).
When it comes to explaining why Lebanon lost, one person who can't be blamed is Jack Ferrell. Despite the final result, he scored 19 points along with seven rebounds. Those 19 points set a new season-high mark for him. The team also got some help courtesy of Kaden Lark, who scored 15 points along with four steals.
Lukas McMahon was the offensive standout of the matchup as he scored 14 points along with five assists. Those five assists set a new season-high mark for him. Another player making a difference was Evan Lawrence, who dropped a double-double on ten points and 11 rebounds.
Lebanon has traveled a rocky road recently, as they've lost three of their last four matches, which put a noticeable dent in their 2-4 record this season. As for Danville, the victory for they keeps them at an undefeated 6-0.
Lebanon is on the road again on Friday and play against Hamilton Heights at 7:30 p.m. on December 22nd. Danville will take on Ohio County in a holiday battle at 1:30 p.m. on Friday at. One thing working in Ohio County's favor is that they have posted big point totals in their last three contests.
