After having lost a blowout in their previous game against Loveland Classical, the Ascent Classical Academy Guardians were happy to have found some success on Wednesday. They enjoyed a cozy 33-18 victory over Poudre Community Academy. That's another feather in the cap for Ascent Classical Academy, who also won these teams' last head-to-head.
When it comes to explaining why Poudre Community Academy lost, one person who can't be blamed is Joslyn Schaeffer. Despite the final result, she dropped a double-double on 12 points and 17 rebounds.
Ascent Classical Academy's win bumped their record up to 3-4. As for Poudre Community Academy, their loss dropped their record down to 0-1.
Ascent Classical Academy will head out on the road to face off against Mile High Academy at 5:00 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Poudre Community Academy, they will be playing in front of their home fans against Wellington at 5:30 p.m. on Friday. Hopefully Wellington focused on turnovers this week since the team gave up 31 on Monday.
