Blythewood had to endure a three-game losing streak, but that streak is no more. They blew past Spring Valley, posting a 35-6 win on the road. The victory was just what Blythewood needed coming off of a 41-7 loss in their prior contest.
Meanwhile, J.L. Mann faced Hillcrest in a battle between two of the state's top teams. J.L. Mann walked away with a 42-35 victory over Hillcrest on Friday. The win made it back-to-back wins for J.L. Mann.
J.L. Mann relied on the efforts of Mikel Mcclellan, who picked up 231 receiving yards and two touchdowns, and Ethan Anderson, who threw for 346 yards and four touchdowns.
Their wins bumped Blythewood to 4-6 and J.L. Mann to 8-2.
