Gardner is 2-8 against Quabbin Regional since October of 2016 but they'll have a chance to close the gap a little bit on Wednesday. After both having extra time off, the pair will dust off their jerseys to face off against one another at 6:00 p.m. on November 22nd. Neither of those teams managed to put together many points in their previous contests, so the offenses might be a little more motivated than usual.
Despite a strong season so far, Gardner has seen their luck take a bit of a downturn recently. They took a 13-6 hit to the loss column at the hands of Oakmont Regional on Friday.
Meanwhile, Quabbin Regional fell victim to St. Bernard's Central Catholic's stalwart defense on Friday and couldn't make it onto the board. They were dealt a 42-0 loss at the hands of the Bernardians. Quabbin Regional was already down big by the end of the third quarter and they stayed that way after failing to score in the fourth.
Gardner's loss dropped their record down to 8-2. As for Quabbin Regional, they have been struggling recently, as they've lost three of their last four matchups, which put a noticeable dent in their 5-5 record this season.
Everything came up roses for Gardner against Quabbin Regional when the teams last played back in September as the team secured a 31-0 win. The rematch might be a little tougher for Gardner since the squad won't have the home-field advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
