The Fayetteville Wolves's recent rough patch got a bit rougher on Thursday after their seventh straight loss. They were dealt a 70-41 defeat at the hands of Comer. Fayetteville has not had much luck with Comer recently, as the team's come up short the last four times they've met.
Fayetteville's defeat shouldn't obscure the performances of Ethan Jones, who scored seven points along with seven rebounds, and Atticus Jacks who scored 13 points. Jones also posted two blocks for the first time this season.
Fayetteville bumped their record down to 2-8 with that defeat, which was their fifth straight at home. As for Comer, the win (which was their third in a row) raised their record to 3-0.
Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Fayetteville won't have much time to rest: their next game is against Winterboro at 5:30 p.m. on December 15th. Winterboro is coming into the matchup on a three-game losing streak. Comer won't have much time to rest: their next game is against Talladega County Central at 7:30 p.m. on December 15th. Talladega County Central is also coming in off of a big victory, so somebody is in for a big reversal of fortune.
