The Comanche Indians will challenge the Early Longhorns at 5:00 p.m. on Wednesday. The teams are rolling into the game with opposing streaks: Comanche has struggled recently with four defeats in a row, while Early will arrive with 11 straight wins.
Comanche is coming in off a wild two-game stretch: after soaring to ten runs on Friday, they were much more limited against Eastland on Tuesday. They came up short against the Mavericks, falling 11-1.
Maeley Evans was a force to be reckoned with on the mound despite the final result: she didn't allow a single earned run over 4.2 innings pitched.

At the plate, Comanche saw four different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Emily Sierra, who went 1-for-2 with one stolen base and one RBI. Sierra has been hot recently, having posted at least one stolen base the last three times she's played.
Meanwhile, Early made easy work of Peaster on Tuesday and carried off a 17-8 victory. Considering the Longhorns have won 15 contests by more than six runs this season, Tuesday's blowout was nothing new.
Kyleigh Caperton was a standout: she went 1-for-4 with three runs, one triple, and two RBI. The team also got some help courtesy of Jamie Vassar, who got on base in three of her four plate appearances with two runs, one stolen base, and one RBI.
Early's win bumped their record up to 16-4. As for Comanche, their loss dropped their record down to 3-17.
Wednesday's game will be a test for both teams' pitchers. Comanche hasn't had any issues making contact this season, having earned a batting average of .351. However, it's not like Early struggles in that department as they've averaged .446. With both teams so capable at the plate, fans should be ready for an impressive hitting performance.
Comanche might still be hurting after the 9-2 defeat they got from Early when the teams last played back in March. Will the Indians have more luck at home instead of on the road? Check MaxPreps after the match for a full breakdown of the game, commentary, and other softball content.
