The Moorcroft Wolves's recent rough patch got a bit rougher on Saturday after their third straight loss. They were dealt a 75-29 defeat at the hands of Buffalo. The result shouldn't come as a shock considering that's the fewest points Moorcroft has scored all season.
Leading Buffalo to victory were Cam Johnson and Eli Patterson. Johnson scored 20 points along with five steals, while Patterson dropped a triple-double on 14 points, ten rebounds, and 11 steals. As a matter of fact, that's the most points Johnson has scored all season. Another player making a difference was Brady Engling, who scored ten points along with eight rebounds and three steals.
Moorcroft's loss was their tenth straight on the road dating back to last season, which dropped their record down to 2-9. As for Buffalo, the victory was the fourth in a row for them, bringing their record for this year to 5-6.
Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Moorcroft will take on the Herders at 12:00 p.m. on Saturday. The matchup should be an exciting one, as these teams are closely ranked in Wyoming (Glenrock is ranked 41st, while the Wolves are ranked 59th). As for Buffalo, they have the luxury of staying home another game and will welcome the Outlaws at 3:00 p.m. on January 30th. Hopefully Rawlins focused on turnovers this week since the team gave up 14 on Friday.
