Basketball Recap: Myles Jarrett Leads a Balanced Attack to Beat Linden-Mckinley

Mifflin won the last time they faced Linden-McKinley and things went their way on Friday too. The Mifflin Punchers managed a 56-50 win over the Linden-McKinley Panthers. The victory made it back-to-back wins for the Punchers.

Multiple players turned in solid performances to lead Mifflin to victory, but perhaps none more so than Myles Jarrett, who posted 16 points in addition to seven boards and five assists. Jarrett's evening made it three games in a row in which he has scored at least ten points. Another player making a difference was Chernor Jalloh, who dropped a double-double on ten points and 11 rebounds.

Mifflin smashed the offensive glass and finished the game with 15 offensive rebounds. The team's really been improving in that area: they've now improved their offensive board total in three consecutive matchups.

Mifflin's victory was their third straight at home, which pushed their record up to 8-10. Those victories came thanks to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 64.0 points per game. As for Linden-McKinley, their loss dropped their record down to 7-11.

Mifflin will head out to square off against East at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Mifflin is facing East at the right time seeing as East is stuck on a four-game losing streak. Linden-McKinley has already played their next contest, a 57-51 defeat against Maumee Valley Country Day on the 1st.
