Shawnee has enjoyed the comforts of home their last three games, but now they'll head out on the road. They will square off against the Cherry Hill West Lions at 3:45 p.m. on Thursday.
Last Tuesday, Shawnee was within striking distance but couldn't close the gap as they fell 53-47 to the Falcons. Shawnee has struggled against the Falcons recently, as their contest on Tuesday was their third consecutive lost matchup.
Meanwhile, Cherry Hill West had to endure a three-game losing streak, but that streak is no more. They came out on top against Seneca by a score of 55-44 on Tuesday. Given Cherry Hill West's advantage in MaxPreps' New Jersey basketball rankings (they are ranked 45th, while the Golden Eagles are ranked 229th), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.
Shawnee's loss ended a six-game streak of wins at home and dropped them to 12-6. As for Cherry Hill West, their victory bumped their record up to 13-4.
Shawnee was able to grind out a solid victory over the Lions in their previous matchup on Saturday, winning 65-57. The rematch might be a little tougher for Shawnee since the team won't have the home-court advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
