Geneva is 0-6 against Trinity Prep since April of 2016 but things could change on Thursday. Geneva will challenge Trinity Prep at 5:00 p.m. Each of these teams will be fighting to keep a win streak alive as Geneva comes in on 13 and Trinity Prep on three.
Last Tuesday, Geneva got the win against Circle Christian by a conclusive 12-5. Considering the Knights have won 12 contests by more than five runs this season, Tuesday's blowout was nothing new.

Will Thigpen and Jeremiah Kavanah made a splash no matter where they played. On the mound, Thigpen struck out six batters over two innings while giving up no earned runs off two hits. Meanwhile, Kavanah pitched three innings while giving up no earned runs off one hit. Furthermore, Thigpen didn't allow a single earned run, the first time he has blanked an opponent since back in February. At bat, Thigpen scored two runs and stole two bases while going 2-for-5, while Kavanah scored a run and stole a base while getting on base in two of his three plate appearances. That's the most stolen bases Thigpen has posted since back in February.
In other batting news, the team relied heavily on Tyson Hilliard, who scored two runs while going 3-for-4. The team also got some help courtesy of Luke Shaw, who scored a run while going 3-for-3.
Geneva hit smart and finished the game with only two strikeouts. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as Circle Christian struck out 11 times.
Meanwhile, Trinity Prep never let their opponents score on Tuesday. They walked away with a 5-0 win over Lake Highland Prep. Give some credit to the fans of both teams: the last four times they've met, the home team has come away the winner.
Adrian Camejo was excellent, scoring a run and stealing a base while going 2-for-2. Another player making a difference was Connor Brady, who scored a run and stole a base while getting on base in two of his three plate appearances.
Geneva pushed their record up to 14-1 with the victory, which was their fifth straight on the road. Those wins came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 14.0 runs over those games. As for Trinity Prep, their record now sits at 8-4.
Thursday's matchup might come down to which pitcher can control the ball better. Geneva has hit smart this season, having averaged an OBP of .489. However, it's not like Trinity Prep struggles in that department as they've averaged .464. With both teams so capable at the plate, fans should be ready for an impressive hitting performance.
Geneva suffered a grim 14-0 defeat to Trinity Prep in their previous matchup back in April of 2024. Can Geneva avenge their loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
