Fernley extended their winning streak to five games thanks to a huge performance from Sheldon Jacobson. The Fernley Vaqueros came out on top against the Churchill County Greenwave by a score of 54-41 on Friday thanks in part to Jacobson, who almost dropped a double-double with 22 points and nine rebounds. He has been hot recently, having posted 16 or more points the last four times he's played.
The team also got some help courtesy of Shane Nelson, who almost dropped a double-double with nine points and 11 boards. The dominant performance gave him a new career-high in rebounds.
Several Greenwave players turned in solid performances despite ultimately coming up short. Perhaps the best among those players was Trevor Hyde, who posted seven points and five boards.
