Softball Recap: St. Johns Country Day Victorious

While St. Johns Country Day's victory against Christ's Church Academy wasn't quite the blowout it was the last time the pair played, they still came out on top. The St. Johns Country Day Spartans skirted past the Christ's Church Academy Eagles 12-11. The Spartans have seen this before: they got the W the last time they saw the Eagles on Friday, too.

Emery Schneider was incredible, going 2-for-3 with one home run, two stolen bases, and three runs. That home run marked the first that she launched this season. Gabi Oceguera was another key player, scoring a run and stealing a base while going 3-for-4.

St. Johns Country Day's win ended a three-game drought at home and bumped them up to 2-4. As for Christ's Church Academy, they now have a losing record of 3-4.

Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. St. Johns Country Day will challenge Bishop Snyder at 6:00 p.m. on Wednesday. Christ's Church Academy will have a little extra prep time after the loss as they won't be playing again for a while. They'll take on Bolles at 6:30 p.m. on March 25th.
