Baseball Recap: Holmes' Losing Streak Is a Thing of the Past

Holmes had lost nine games straight , but after bumping their record up to 4-18 on Monday that streak is in the rearview. Everything went their way against the Heritage Academy Eagles as they made off with a 10-4 victory. The Bulldogs not only won on Monday, but they posted their biggest win since April 16th (when they won 12-2).

As for Heritage Academy, their loss dropped their record down to 10-6-1. The pitching woes were uncharacteristic for they, who until this game were averaging 3.59 runs allowed.

For Heritage Academy's part, they saw three different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Cade Holtman, who went 1-for-2 with one stolen base and one run.

Coming up, Holmes is taking a road trip to challenge Ludlow at 5:00 p.m. on Tuesday. The Bulldogs are facing the Panthers at the right time seeing as the Panthers are stuck on a five-game losing streak. As for Heritage Academy, they will be playing in front of their home fans against Bellevue at 5:30 p.m. on Tuesday.
