Basketball Recap: Depaul College Prep Piles Up the Points Against Regina Dominican

DePaul College Prep's game last Thursday was a loss, but they didn't let that memory haunt them on Saturday. They claimed a resounding 62-35 victory over the Regina Dominican Panthers. The Rams have made a habit of sweeping their opponents off the court, having now won ten matchups by 23 points or more this season.

It was another big night for Grace Lee, who went 8 of 13 on her way to 19 points. Ava Giordano was another key player, putting up 13 points and three steals.

Despite the loss, Regina Dominican saw an underclassman step up: sophomore Bridget Conway posted seven points.

DePaul College Prep has been performing well recently as they've won five of their last six contests, which provided a nice bump to their 16-9 record this season. The wins came thanks to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 53.8 points per game. As for Regina Dominican, their defeat ended a five-game streak of wins at home and dropped them to 14-8.

DePaul College Prep will host Evanston at 7:00 p.m. on Wednesday. As for Regina Dominican, they are taking a road trip to take on Saint Ignatius College Prep at 6:30 p.m. on Tuesday. Both teams are headed into the matchup with plenty of momentum (Saint Ignatius College Prep has won seven straight at home, while Regina Dominican won three straight on the road), something that'll have to change.
