After losing to The Naches Valley Rangers the last time they met, the La Salle Lightning decided to demonstrate that turnabout is fair play. La Salle came out on top against Naches Valley by a score of 21-14 on Friday. The victory made it back-to-back wins for La Salle.
La Salle was led to victory by Kai Hanrahan and Johan Valladares. Hanrahan rushed for 67 yards and a touchdown, while Valladares rushed for 175 yards and two touchdowns.
Although Naches Valley took the loss, they still got scores from Tucker Stephens and Jett Hires.
La Salle's victory was their sixth straight on the road (dating back to last season), which bumped their overall record up to 8-1. Those good results were due in large part to their offensive dominance across that stretch, as they averaged 36.7 points per game. As for Naches Valley, their loss ended a four-game streak of wins at home dating back to last season and dropped them to 6-3.
La Salle will take on Connell at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. The matchup should be an exciting one, as these teams are ranked near one another in Washington (Connell is ranked 139th, while La Salle is ranked 133rd). As for Naches Valley, they will head out on the road to face off against Royal at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. Royal has been dominant on offense recently, as they've racked up an incredible 212 points over their last four matchups.
