After losing to the North Montgomery Chargin' Chargers the last time they met, the North Putnam Cougars decided to demonstrate that turnabout is fair play. North Putnam walked away with a 58-50 victory over North Montgomery on Saturday. The victory made it back-to-back wins for North Putnam.
North Putnam was led to victory by Lexi Daigle and Rose Haste. Daigle scored 16 points along with five rebounds, while Haste scored seven points along with six rebounds and six steals. Those six steals set a new season-high mark for her. Another player making a difference was Hailee Daigle, who scored seven points.
North Putnam's win ended a six-game drought on the road and puts them at 7-10. As for North Montgomery, they have been struggling recently, as they've lost three of their last four games, which put a noticeable dent in their 8-10 record this season.
Coincidentally, the two teams will both be playing Greencastle the next time they take the court. North Montgomery will head out to face Greencastle at 2:30 p.m. on Tuesday, while North Putnam will host them at 2:30 p.m. on Friday.
