Woodland Hills extended the longest winning streak in WPIAL AAAA Southeastern this week by beating Penn Hills, 27-0. This was the team's fourth consecutive win.
Peters Township took down Canon-McMillan 35-0 last week, the largest margin of any game.
Mt. Lebanon's dynamic duo of Tyler Roth and Troy Apke proved tough for Upper St. Clair to stop, as they were the top passer and receiver in the league this week. Roth threw for 365 yards and two touchdowns and Apke had 147 yards receiving. Mark Buda helped Mt. Lebanon's passing attack out by catching six balls for 66 yards.
Mac Pope was the most productive running back in the league this week. In 12 carries, he ran for 58 yards as the Panthers fell to the Panthers. Teammate Pete Coughlin added to the ground attack by rushing for 50 yards.
Mt. Lebanon's Roth and Apke have formed a dynamic duo this season, leading the league in both passing and receiving yards. Roth has thrown for 2085 yards this season, while Apke, a 6-foot-2 receiver, has 45 catches for 959 yards. Upper St. Clair's Coughlin leads the league in rushing yards with 423.
Bethel Park led WPIAL AAAA Southeastern in scoring this week after putting up 42 points on Baldwin.
