Sadly, the A Plus Academy Knights are still looking for their first win of the season after 12 matches. They fell 49-41 to Inspired Vision on Tuesday. The defeat unfortunately continues a disappointing trend for A Plus Academy in their matchups with Inspired Vision: they've now lost five in a row.
Tyree Sheffield was his usual excellent self, scoring 23 points for Inspired Vision. That makes it 12 consecutive games in which Sheffield has scored at least a third of Inspired Vision's points. The team also got some help courtesy of Obed Faz, who scored eight points.
A Plus Academy dropped their record down to 0-12 with that loss, which was their 13th straight on the road dating back to last season. That rough patch could be blamed on the team's offensive performance across that stretch, as they only averaged 20.1 points per game. As for Inspired Vision, their victory ended a four-game drought at home and bumped them up to 8-18.
A Plus Academy is on the road again on Friday and plays Trinity Leadership at 7:30 p.m. on February 9th. Trinity Leadership will roll in looking for their seventh straight win, something A Plus Academy surely won't give up without a fight. As for Inspired Vision, they will be playing at home against Gateway Charter Academy at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. The matchup should be an exciting one, as these teams are closely ranked in Texas (Gateway Charter Academy is ranked 1420th, while Inspired Vision is ranked 1413th).
