Larue County enjoyed a cozy 69-55 win over Fairdale on Saturday. Having run the score up that high, both teams might be doing some extra defensive drills very soon.
Larue County's win was a true team effort, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Jagger Mardis, who scored 26 points. Daniel Allen was another key contributor, scoring 22 points along with eight rebounds.
Larue County has been performing incredibly well recently as they've won six of their last seven contests, which provided a nice bump to their 15-8 record this season. As for Fairdale, their defeat dropped their record down to 20-6.
Larue County will head out on the road to challenge Elizabethtown at 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday. One thing working in Larue County's favor is that they have posted big point totals every time they've taken the court this season. As for Fairdale, they will look to defend their home court on Tuesday against Pleasure Ridge Park at 7:30 p.m. Fairdale knows how to get points on the board -- the team has finished with flashy point totals in its past three contests -- so hopefully Pleasure Ridge Park likes a good challenge.
