The Kaynor Tech Panthers's recent rough patch got a bit rougher on Monday after their third straight loss. They had to suffer through a rough 73-46 loss at the hands of Woodland Regional. Kaynor Tech has not had much luck with Woodland Regional recently, as the team's come up short the last four times they've met.
Woodland Regional's success was the result of a balanced attack that saw several players step up, but Dean Accetura led the charge by scoring 24 points along with three steals. Accetura hasn't dropped below 15 points for three straight games. The team also got some help courtesy of James Scampolino, who scored 15 points along with five rebounds.
Kaynor Tech has traveled a rocky road recently, as they've lost six of their last seven matches, which put a noticeable dent in their 4-9 record this season. As for Woodland Regional, the victory was the third in a row for them, bringing their record for this year to 6-9.
Kaynor Tech will look to defend their home court on Friday against Abbott RVT at 5:30 p.m. As for Woodland Regional, they will head out on the road to face off against Crosby at 7:00 p.m. on Friday.
